My work as a designer put me at the center of the interior design, fashion, and beauty industries, collaborating with top publishing houses and studios across London, New York, and Madrid. This professional journey was invaluable, yet my deepest inspiration remained rooted in the south of Spain.
Pio Blanco is the culmination of this journey—a collection of decorative accessories informed by the rich artistic legacy of Andalusia.
Growing up, the intricate designs of the Hispanic-Moorish tradition were simply the fabric of my life: My designs are a homage to the everyday beauty that first enchanted me: the Hispanic-Moorish patterns on my mother’s kitchen tiles, the railings of my school, and the spectacular monuments in Seville and Granada.
My vision is to take these ancient, soul-stirring patterns and translate them for the contemporary interior. The challenge, and the passion, is to strip away the complexity and distil these designs into minimalist, functional art.
I invite you to explore a series of posters that redefine the traditional Andalusian tile for the stylish, modern home.
I hope they bring the warmth and artistry of the Mediterranean into your live.
